I was having trouble starting my 99 F-350 so I took it into the local Ford dealer. They called today and told me that it was a bad glow plug module. I have looked in the Chilton repair book and see no mention of a glow plug module but a glow plug relay is mentioned. Is the part the same thing as the GP relay. How hard is it to replace myself if I get the part?
Thanks.
I'm guessing that it is the part (module/relay) that sits on top of the manifold to near the fuel filter cap on the 7.3 diesel. It also looks like it involves just swapping out the wires and unscrewing it from the mount and then hooking everything back up in the same place. Am I right about how easy it looks to change?
