My wipers are doing some bad things lately. The switch doesn't feel "right" and the interval wipers work real slow or with a stop-and-go motion. I also have to twist the switch several times to get the wipers to shut off sometimes (off will be interval). I doubt it's a wiper motor problem as the switch feels funky. Is there a way to pop that end off and clean it as I think it may have a bunch of gunk in there causing the switch to malfunction?
Your 94 wiper switch on the column? If it is, the multi-function switch is prone to breaking down. I had one quit on my Ranger a long time ago... I bought a replacement on ebay, not to hard to change but you will need to remove the shroud around the column, don't forget to disconnect the battery,....
Haven't fixed the switch random problem yet, and now I've got a new one. One wiper stopped working one day. Used the other anyway for a few weeks until I could get around to fixing it. One day it was raining and as I had the wiper going I heard a "pop" noise and now neither work. I suspect the motor-to-wiper arms linkage has fallen apart but am not sure? Anybody? If I'm missing some linkage bits can I buy those at an auto parts store or will I need to go to the junk yard?
