Hi, I have a 2004 F150 Supercrew Fx4 and i don't like the painted bnumpers, they chip to easy, and i pulled a guy out of the ditch and i got a ding in the front bumper, so now i was thinking about having them line X'ed. Has anyone does this, and does it look good, what about cost? Thanks for any help.
I can't post prices, so I'll give you a range. Be aware that dealers set their own prices so prices will vary. For LINE-X with Nason or Xtra (for no fading), you're looking at about $175 to $200 per bumper. Definately, no more rock chips.
This is not a truck, but we sprayed color matched LINE-X on the botton facia of this Altima. The customer was tired of rock chips.
We sprayed the grill and just the black inserts on this bumper with LINE-X and Nason. The customer did not want a lot of texture, notice we did not spray a lot of texture. (It's a Chevy, SORRY!)
Hey TruckDaddy...that color match looks spot on on the Nissan. I have been wanting to do my 8' Super Duty bed, but have hesitated due to not wanting the black or nasty looking red to clash with my truck.
My truck is the Torredor Red (maroon)...can it be color matched and at what general cost? I am in Houston, Texas.
Yes, it can be color matched. We use the factory paint code on the sticker on the door in order to get an exact color match. Now, it will not reflect light the same because LINE-X has a texture (your truck's paint does not) and your truck's paint has a clearcoat. Dealer prices will vary, but you're looking at an upcharge of about $150 to $225, and even more for white or yellow because those are more difficult.
Here's are some examples of LINE-X color matches in red or near red. These bedliners will NOT fade:
