I have a 96 4x4 powerstroke with 220,000 miles, the trans has always been pretty solid. right now it seems to be starting out in third gear, once it gets up to speed, it shifts fine, just starts out really slow, and i dont want to burn up my trans. i ran it on a computer, and it said something about the keep alive memory and a solenoid having low voltage. could this be caused from bad connections on the batteries? does anyone have any suggestions.
P0713 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input
ok, im getting the dtc code P0713 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input, what exactly does that mean? my trans is starting off in 3rd gear, but once you get up to speed, it drives fine.
When was the last time the transmission filter was changed and the pan and magnet cleaned of debris. Could the cooler lines be plugged? Does the oil smell burnt? Could be some crap under a valve.
