I used Paypal twice last month, for the first time. I immediately received two strange spams, I forget what they were..but I smelled a rat and deleted them asap. It was for my first ebay purchases. I have great security on my PC, and never get any spam, so I was surprised to see unfamilar e-mail coming to me.

i know people who dont even have PP accounts and get the emails. I highly doubt closing your account will do anything.

Infact, my spam catcher caught a pp email sent to my work addy (no attached account)

A couple of years ago I got a paypal and also a bank email wanting my info. Went to paypal and canceled my account after I checked with them that it was bogus. The bank I also checked with in case it was ID theft and found it was also bogus. I don't buy anything off ebay either. Lately I have been getting some Paypal emails. If you click on properties you will see that they don't have anything to do with paypal.
