Reverse cut is an acceptable term, it's reverse ROTATION which is the misleading and inaccurate term used for these gears all too often. The teeth on the gears are cut the opposite direction of a regular gear set so that the pinion used the drive side of the ring gear while driving forward. Non-high pinion front axles use a regular gearset but are driven from the coast side of the ring gear teeth. So yes, they can be referred to as reverse cut, but not reverse rotation as they still rotate the same as all the rest.
Never heard of a reverse spiral before. Just reverse cut and the improper term, reverse rotation.
I have also never seen a Ford Dana 44 front axle with 3/8" tubes, just 1/2" and 1/4". Not saying its not true, I have just never seen nor heard of it before.
Theres is still a few things on that page about the Dana 44 I disagree with though.
