I read alot of posts about installing this in my tranny (01 auto) but cannot find which kit is being used, and where to get it-anybody?
Thanks in advance
yes. I would recommend getting the sonnax valve and tricumulator springs from Garrett at Blackclouddieseperformance.com instead of at blackclouddiesel.com.... Garrett went out on a leg and started his own business and i try to recommend him because he has helped me out with alot of info. very knowledgeable.
last night i yelled at him and i made Garrett into an agreement for BCDP.com to become an FTE sponsor, so his links will be permitted soon. he still has to get everything together with the business before he can go out and do subscriptions and sponsorships.
Whoa, I didn't realize Garett had separated from just plain Black Cloud Diesel... now I'm confused. If I purchase things from Blackclouddiesel.com, I'm not buying from Garrett anymore? Maybe I'll just call him when I'm ready to order stuff... same number still?
you ordered from garrett before, but he didnt OWN the business. he just worked for BCD.com now he owns BCDP.com, and all the profit is his (i believe) and he runs and operates the business as his main job. before, he had three jobs and wanted to consolidate.
Ah, thanks for the clarification. Do you know if he carries all the things BlackCloudDiesel did... even the stuff that only they made/carried? For example, AIH delete w/ boost fitting, etc?
Talked to Garrett yesterday-SUPER nice guy! Got my Sonnax shift kit coming, and I will be doing future buisness with him. Did not know me from Adam, yet took the time to answer all my questions, even though he was laying under a truck doing a transmission. Thumbs up to BLACK CLOUD DIESEL PERFORMANCE!
Put the kit in last night, easier than I thought. Took me and one other guy just under 2 hours, and we were not going fast by any means, just being thourough. (we had it up on a lift, boy was that nice!)
Man, does that shift nice now! Firmer shifts, not the granny shifts that Ford is famous for. I would recommend this kit to anyone. Just FYI, it took me 8 quarts on the refill to get it back on the stick.
