Welcome to the club, it is your VSS sensor, it is located on the top of the rear differential, and I believe it is one 10mm bolt. For just over $20 as mentioned earlier, I dont think it is worth cleaning it, just change it out. Very common. Lets us know if that fixes it!

I just picked up a new VSS today due to some weird codes I am getting when I stomp on it. Related to VSS and overhead console?? Anyway, called 3 dealers and all of them quoted $22.72. It should only take 10 min and a 10mm socket unless you're like me and had some difficulty re-starting the 10mm bolt. Had lots of locktite on the threads from the factory and kept trying to cross-thread. Wire wheel on the bench cleaned up the bolt and went right back in, just cost another 10min.
