I am looking at replacing my shocks. When I call the parts stores they wont give me the application number because they are afraid I will go somewhere else for my buisness. I am not sure how to measure the shocks. I am looking at getting either Rancho RS9000 or RS5000. Do I measure the distance of the shocks as the truck sits level? Or, do I measure the travel the shock has? The extended length or the collapsed length? I have a '76 F150 4x4 with the High Boy lift. Any ideas on how I can find out my application number would be great!
