Hello all.
I am in the market for an aftermarket exhaust system for MY98 Expy EB, 5.4, 4x4, no load leveling, and tow package. I looked at some different models like magnaflow, and gibson. But how 'bout the REMUS deal? Anyone ever heard of them making a catback for our 1st gen Expys? I found one for sale on ebay Linky: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/REMUS...QQcmdZViewItem
it looks to be a nicely constructed unit. Now I want to spend my cash wisely so if any of you knowledgeble enthusiasts out there have any info on this catback or have had a direct expereince with it I would appreciate your help.
Also if you look at the listing it says that this system is for a MY99 Expy, I dont think this will matter if i try to istall it on a MY98? If my assumptions are wrong, please educate me.
Thanks for viewing and for all the great info provided on these forums!

I just got my Remus system yesterday and cant wait to put it on. The system looks awesome with the dual outlet tip. Will post feedback and pictures after I install it!
Well I installed it yesterday and was a breeze. Turn the key and what a surprise. The sound is awesome, not loud at a idle or cruise, but lets you know theres a V-8 under the hood durning hard acceleration. The system is solid stainless steel and appears well made. Came with great exhaust clamps, not the cheap one. Got the entire system for $300 with the dual crome side swept pipe.
Glad it worked out for ya. the real reason why I didnt put this cat back on is because a dual exit Gibson system ended up costing me the same price you paid. I thought having a dual exit exhaust on each side of the truck would be cooler. Notice any performance increases yet? I noticed a little more power in the higher RPM range (2900-4000) and a 1mpg increase if i dont flog it too much.
