Tranny will not fit.
Transfer Case may bolt up but I would check the yokes/U-joints. I noticed that the diesels have a tendency to use larger U-joints (more torque at lower rpm) or if they are the same there is a good chance they will be the weak link in the system.

Gasser trannies are different gear ratios, a diesel would chew it up in a day.
