Shock ?

I was thinking about upgrading my shocks to the bilsteins or edelbrock and was wondering how hard it was to change them? The rear doesn't look too hard was wondering more about the front shocks. Thanks in advance for any info.

You might find that the front shocks are easier to replace than the rears. The top nut on the rear is a bit of a pain.

Plan on getting a Haynes manual today so I can see exactly how to do it, but was wondering do the fronts come out without taking anything else off the truck? You say the top bolts on the rear are a pain. Is it that they're hard to get to?

Nothing else has to come off on the front.
The top nut on the rear is a pain to get at. If you remove the bottom bolt first you can swing the shock down so you can access the top nut easier.

I would recommend the Bilsteins. The Edelbrocks seem like a good idea, but they do not react fast enough. I think that is why the OEM's have gone to electronic control. I have Edelbrocks on the rear of my F150 and with a heavy trailer, it's a bit disconcerting until they stiffen up. They do improve the unloaded ride, however.
