I have an 90 F350 with a 460EFI. I want true dual. If I buy 2 hi-flow cats, how do I attach the EGR tubes? Do I really need them? Can I buy a flange for dual pipes to connect to the stock flange?
Thanks.
What kind of emmissions testing do you have? On the '90 I did the EGR tubes are just hanging(actually tied up) and the rear one is crimped closed. But I have no cats and no emmissions testing. I would just get rid of the flange, its not worth the time.
They check the cats, pretty strict. Does your check engine light come on now that you dont have the proper EGR hooked up? Will the engine still run right without the EGR hooked up? Also my EGR tubes go into the head.....I think......

On a '90 they should just go to the air pump. But yeah with them unhooked my Dads runs fine. If you have to run a cat I would say just go with a high flow and a 3" single system and a magnaflow or somthing, the sound out of these 460s seems pretty close to duals anyway. Vibrant makes some fairly decent highflow cats by the look of it.

That is good to know A single3" flows better than 2 2.5" tubes??
I don't know about that but it should flow pretty close, its good for these engines anyway. I also thought about it and Magnaflow(Carsound) makes universal cats that you can hook the airtubes to as well.
