This will be interesting to find out one way or the other. I have never recorded anything to see if the captining records too.

It should record without the closed caption being on.My parents are deaf so I use to record shows and movies from tv and take it to them and CC would show up.If it doesn't work for anyone Let me Know and I will go buy a vcr next week.I will be more than happy to record shows for anyone who is deaf or hard of hearing.

Have U tryed replaying it with CC on? most Tivo's copy every little thing.. So if U replay it with CC on than a VCR should beable to recorded it also..

I forgot to come back in here and think both Joe and Ed for sending me the tapes. I appreciate it very much. They will get worn out over time. Both are captioned.
