HELP!!! 92 explorer 4x4 no spark no coil trigger
OK - I'm guessing he used a break out box and was able to real time verify all PCM pinnout values. Dropping the tranny...nuetral/reverse switch (all in one on a auto tranny) or the vacuum modulator...about all I can figure. Still sounds a bit goofy to me. What I am concerned about is the smoke and mirrors scheme... Oh this is it, opps no it wasn't ..but did find out a $5 part is all that's needed...charge him the full amount anyways and he'll never know...afterall...he's happy now.
Especially since dropping a tranny is about $500 in labor anywhere you go...think you got a guilt driven discount there.

When mine was acting goofy I unplugged the harness as a hail mary and nada. Yours does seem odd Steve as the neutral start switch and its attendant harness can be changed with trans in place. Anyway, you're rolling and that's great.
