Ported Subs

Has anyone in here put their subs in the bed of the truck then ported it into the cab? If so, did it sound good or would you recommend putting the sub behind the back seat? Thanks for the help.

I have done many systems that involved cutting the bed and cab out and extending them through eachother. It's a nice but but hate doing that to a ride unless it's something that is a really custom truck and goes with it.

I would recommend just sticking with a custom enclosure inside the cab or a prefab one. I hear alot of regrets from customers after they cut through the truck. That's a major modification and a major deduction on your resale I might add.

In high school I had a 87 Nissan Hardbody pickup that we stuffed a Supercharged Cobra Engine into. Man that truck got me alot of tickets....lol Got me a ticket for 147 mph running from the cops. I had to completely hand write the Missouri Drivers Guide and pay a $2000 fine. Kept my license though. Anyways I had built a 5th order enclosure that fired through four 6" ports through the cab. The enclosure held four 15" Kicker Comp subs. I had a hell of a time trying to sell that truck with the holes in the back. I had to sell the truck with the enclosure in it and then I still had a problem because people didn't like the room it took from the bed of the truck.

Thank you, I really wasn't too comfortable cutting holes in a $50,000.00 truck!! What would be the best route to go with an 06 SD CC with the bench seat in back? I am going with custom kick panels and replacing the factory 6x8's and would like a sub but not sure where to put it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could make a custom enclosure similar to a MTX thunderform. remove the steel racks under the rear seat and do that, or maybe pull out the rear center console and put a sub there.

I installed a few weeks ago a Audio Enhancers enclosure that went under the seat for two 10" subwoofers for a 05. This box works for the 06 as well. Model # FX110

Or the other option is if you do NOT have the power rear slider. This enclosure goes behind the seats for two 10" subs. Model # FSD150
