50.00 got me one of those Stick on OEM key pads,, Now my keys are always in my truck..!!
I just went to OEM and searched for a power door lock module for my '05 F350 SD crewcab dually. (Numb nutz here forgot to order truck w/ same...) I was not able to locate such on their site. Maybe I did not know how to search, but I did find reg key stuff which I don't need...
So whoever has the Ford P/N for the power door lock module, please post it, OK???
Ford has provided an unlock tool on trucks since 1998.
Use the factory installed unlock tool. It is located on the passenger side cowel. You will need a small wrench to unscrew it from the storage mount. Once you have it removed, simply insert the ball end of the tool vertically at the top front corner of the passenger front door where it meets the cab. The ball end fits directly into the "U" on the unlock button. Push down to release the door lock and remove the tool. Then simply reinstall the tool in its storage hole on the cowel.

Never heard of this... Where is it located? I don't know what the passenger side cowel is?

The cowel is the area between the hood and windshield. On the SuperDuty this area is Black plastic.
The "tool" sticks straight up on the passenger (side opposite the steering wheel) side of the truck. It is 2-3 feet long, black, and has a plastic shroud around the base. It has a hex at the base and is threaded into the base.
I want to be descrete, as there are people that could use this for evil, IE ex's, and thieves.
The radio reception will be compromised if the tool is not replaced in its holder properly.
SUM-OF-WHICH, I just went out an looked, looked, and relooked! Figured it out now! Problem now, my cresent is laying on the floorboard! Will have to zip tie one on frame. Thanks for spelling it out!
We have a Travel Trailer and have Good Sam ERS. They will come out for any car owned by the family. Has come in handy for flats and such. I do carry a key in the wallet though.

This is funny.

Reason: removed sh*t
I don't think Ryan ever mentioned what year and kind of truck he has.
Off the topic a little, but on some of the older fords that have a wing window, most of the time, the lock latch is broken, and an allen wrench will do nice job of turning the wing window latch with out doing any damage to rubber or frame.
second thought i did this one time that i locked myself out.we were in the way back boondocks,so no help was coming by.i used a jacknife blade to pry the back window out of its seal.removed the window reached in and opened her up.took some time but was better than hoofing it the eight miles it would have been to the dirt road for help.just a thought for future times.
