I am reposting this under the correct title. Should have read the suggestions first. Sorry for reposting.
I just bought a 1990 F250 Super Cab truck with the long bed. It has the 460/7.5 Liter V8. It is a two wheel drive automatic with 54,500 miles on it. It has EFI and is the XLT with the towing package.
I haven't even picked it up yet but probably will next week. I paid $3,000 for it and will use it to pull a 26 ft fifth wheel trailer and my 26 foot boat.
I really don't know anything about trucks so I'm wondering how I can find out some more about this one when I finally receive it.
The codes on the door pillar will tell you a lot, I think the axle codes with letters and numbers like C5 are limited slip, or posi trac, and axle codes with just numbers are non-limited slip. You will find the 460 will have a lot of power espically if it has 4.10 gears, but it will use a lot of gas. If you need any more info this is the place to stop.
