help what engine do i have
i recently purchased a 1987 full size bronco e/b series. the engine has been replaced by a prv. owner.i am having a starter issue.the stater grinds and will not start engage the fly wheel. the starter works fine but it is not meeting the fly wheel properly . i ahve a friend ,mechanic that wks. for linclon /merc. dealer. he thinks i have the wrong starter in there it had been replaced 1 x prior to purchase ,apperenyly it was screwed up when i got it. any way,i guess my confusion is.Are there diff. starters for different 351 motors?? my block casting # e4ae 6015 fa 20 , exhaust casting # e5te9430sa and it has an edlbrock performer 351w intake manifold on it? i guess its a 351 windsor??it seems the starter that is on it has alot of play or movment when it is in proir to bolting u can actually rotate it some and move it??any help or advice to what motor i have or starter info. would greatly be appriciated thank you. dw

We are happy to have you! There is a ton of great info on this site. But, before you go snooping around there are a few things you need to do first.
1) Want to meet or talk to other members in your area? There are Provincial, State and International Chapters located near the bottom of the main forum page.
2) Before you post a thread asking a question be especially aware of where (what forum) to place it in. FTE is HUGE! Make sure you read the Read First: at the top of the forum before you go posting.
3) And finally you should review the Guidelines. They will kind of give you an idea of what is and isn't allowed on this site ("The Rules").
