I am welding some new steel floor sections on my gravel truck box floor. It was was bent and worn out. Need to get that out of the way so I can get back to working on the frame for my 56 M100 and get the cab remounted this winter.
I did absolutly nothing all weekend, Did go out last night untill late. Today I am strugling with the nasty effects of a hangover. A few motrin, lots of water, my recliner, a large comforter, the tv remote, and lots of sleep.
Feels good to relax once in a while, I dont seem to do it enough. Just means there will be twice as much to do when i get my butt back to work.
What were you celebrating, another old Ford truck or something less worthy? If it was a truck then you have my sympathy, if not then you are on your own.
I shoveled some coal, rebuilt the carb on my newly aquired tiller and worked on my also newly aquired lawn tractor. Thrilling, I know. Hey, I go back on shift on Wednesday after nearly a years recoup from my accident. That's a little more interesting.
The wife was working this weekend so I was parenting so not to much got done. Did a bit of cleaning in the garage and got her snowmobile tuned up just in case we get some snow. Also started a batch of wine
What line of work are you in Fullcrew7.3? Thrilling or not it`s better done now then when the season of use comes at you. What type of accident happened to you? I know. Work is a little more interesting? Must be a neat job, usually the off work time is better.
Corner Gas, if the wine turns out good save some for this spring`s auctions. We may need it.
I'm an operator in a 1250 tonne/day Ammonia plant. That's where the 4th class power engineering stuff comes into play.
The acciedent was my stellar over-the-bicycle-handlebars-broke-neck type accident. I've been back AT work since the end of Sept, but on light duties and straight days. It'll be nice to be back on shift.
It's a LOT less driving, plus this way I can get a little overtime. I really enjoyed the time off, but it was definitely time to go back to work when I did. Just ask my wife.
The coal is for my outdoor coal furnace and the lawn/garden stuff is some long overdue help in the yard. WHen I got the tiller, the guy said it might need to have the carb cleaned. NO KIDDING. The fuel tank had a half inch of ice in it, the fuel line was right full of ice, and the carb was REALLY badly gumbed up. Took most of the afternoon, but I got her running real nice now.
I'm sure the tiller would do just fine. I've just decided to wait. Just because I want to. Hmph. I agree with the draining thing, but I have yet to put it into practice. Always too many things going on.
That`s what I used to think but after messing with a gummed up fuel system I try to remember to drain and run till the motor quits. I haven`t tried fuel conditioner but that is supposed to work for short term storage.
