ok so my clutch is working fine except the pedal does not release all the way. my mechanic says there is some bushing on the linkage going to the clutch cylinder through the firewall but i dunno what this bushing is or where in the linkage. it is a 1991 f-250 with a 300 inline six and hydraulic clutch any help would be great

I'm not quite sure on your 91, But on my 94 from the clutch pedal there is a rod that crosses the assembly at the top. Coming out above the accelerator. There is a short arm with a bushing that connects to the clutch master cylinder. These are bad to wear out. Also check the arm where the bushing goes the stud may be worn to. Just a small amount of wear will cause you problems. Ford carries both the arm and bushing they are not exspenive.

Had the same problem on my '92, dealer price for the bushing= $15 or $20 for a peice of plastic. I have not had luck yet finding it in the HELP section at Autozone but I wear them out once evry 3 or 4 years.
