ford390gashog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I'm glad LAUDY feels they can ask for help from an experienced member here, after all we're all Ford fans here. Kwik has been very helpful in more than a few posts that might seem to be out of the realm of the PSD format. I've even gleened some insight from you, even though it was not the info I was looking for. BTW,,, 390FE??? I once had a 428 side oiler FE in an '84 F150 1/2 ton 4x4, what a screamer!!!!!

i wasn't trying to be rude. just pointing out that there is a PM system.

also the only side oiler was a 427 FE if you have one what a great engine. they sell for over 20,000.00. how hard was the swap into the 84?

This is off the subject, but why was it called a side oiler?

I wasn't saying you were rude, my apologies, only that we are all Ford fans here. My typo,,,,, 427 side oiler FE, bought from an old timer here($500.00) where I live, quite a bit of modification to make it fit,,,,, complete rebuild on motor, new C6 transmission case, custom motor mounts, custom exhaust, custom radiator, etc,,,,,,,, but what a fun truck!!!!!!

I hate to say this but the car this came out of was I believe a '60s vintage galaxy 500, they used to tow a ***** spreader through the fields with this car....... I'm not exactly sure on the car though, just sad how it was used........

I went and looked at your question over there and I don't have any answers for you. Zero experience on Exploders. Sorry. But thank you for the vote of confidence.
Closing thread now as this is the diesel forum.
