Check out the ford website...they have pics, info, official announcement of the 2007 Ford Expedition...could this mean we will see something official in the coming days on the 2007 SD!?
probably not. the expy was set to be shown at a recent auto show. the superduty is not sceduled to be at any up coming auto shows. ford may not even show it at a auto show.
New Expy has been revealed at the Houston Auto show this week. Will be offered in June I believe. I'll look it up tomorrow. Front end, interior, and frame based of the F-150. Duh!
The heavier frame gets it ready for the stretch version.

The Expedition EL, has a stronger frame that allows for a 9100 lb. trailer and a few other new and important features. I talked to a very knowledgable Ford Rep (Bart, yes his name was Bart) and he said that it's not supposed to replace the Excursion in any form or fashion. All it does is give people some (not all) of the room the Excursion had. The only engine available is the standard 5.4. The probably V10 won't end up below the hood of the new Expy. However; Ford is currently working on a new diesel that will more than likely end up below the hood with either the same 6 speed or a different tranny.
I'm in and out of the Ford KTP (Kentucky Truck Plant), home of the Super Duty, several times a week. I'va asked every body I talk to about changeover dates for the new model. Nobody seems to know anything about it or any new engines. Ford really seems to keep this info under wraps.
