I zip-tied it under the filter, on the bracket for the old air box.

I put mine in the end of the filter. SpringerPop had a great idea on rolling up some paper and use it as a lining for the inside of the filter. Drill a hole that is slightly smaller than the diameter of the sender. Get a razor knife and notch out the hole to accomodate the retainer tabs on the sender and put the sender into the hole. You have to extend the wiring about a foot to get it to reach. Remove the lining after you drill and cut.

They are both temp sensors. The PCM uses the sensor in the air box to know when to engage the fast idle and exhaust backpressure valve. The one behind the grill is the temp sensor for your overhead computer.

This one sensed the air intake temperature. Since it was originally inside the airbox, it was designed to only take the temp of the incoming intake air. The one on the front is probably for ambient air temp, to tell the EBPV when to close, when to kick up idle, when to turn on the air intake heater, etc...

Edit: see cookies's post above. Cancel what I said the front air temp sensor telling the truck to close EPBV ect... At least I was right that the one on the front is for ambient air. I didn't think about it being for the trip computer.
