Planning
OK, in the morning, I go get my new frame 3, engine 2, tranny 2, t-case 2 and bring them home.
Sunday, I pull engine 2, tranny 2, & t-case 2 off, mount engine 2 on a stand, store tranny 2 and t-case 2. Start tearing down frame 3 for sandblasting.
Get frame 3 sent to sandblasting. Repair any thin spots in frame 3, prime, paint.
Take differentials off frame 2 (white), wire brush, rust-treat, install on frame 3. Pull cab 2 and front clip 2 off frame 2 and install on frame 3. Tear down frame 2 and send out for sandblasting, repair, prime, paint.
Take differentials off frame 1 (green), wire brush, rust-treat, install on frame 2. Pull cab 1, front clip 1, bed 1, driveline 1 off frame 1 and install on frame 2. Strip any good parts off frame 1 for use on frames 2 and 3 and possible sale, scrap the rest.
Ai, ai, ai. Somewhere in there, I've got 2 engines to rebuild, 2 trannys and t-cases that need looked at, at the very least, and an interior to piece together for the white truck, which will end up blue sooner or later. And bodywork -- probably just going to buy some Mexican beds and pieces-parts for the cabs.
The white truck is a learning experience -- I want it to look good when I'm done, but I'm not gonna sweat little ooops's. Which it has a few as it is -- it looks like someone replace at least one lower door skin and butt-welded (cut-end to cut-end) it instead of flanging (some overlap) it. Which is something I would have done before reading up on it.
The green truck... my uncle's truck... I'll get sooooo much grief if I even change out the factory AM-only radio.
