Tire brand recommendation?

I have a 01 F250 Crew Cab pulling only about 5K lbs about 50% of the time. What brand tires are you guys having good luck with for mileage?
Any suggestions if I move up a size?

I am very picky about the tires. I hate tires that don't drive well and don't mind spending the money for good tires.

After going through several sets of the OE Goodyear Wrangler HTs I replaced them with a set of BF Goodrich Commercial TAs. I have had them for about 2 years now and they are wearing better than the Goodyears. Most importantly, they drive very nicely and ride and handling are better than the Wranglers.

The wranglers always developed a funny wear pattern. So far the Commercial TAs are wearing very evenly. I use the van mainly for towing and just in the last two months have towed more than 6000 miles. They performed beautifully throughout.

I got the BFG Commercial TAs at Sams Club. Paid $69 each for 235/75-15s.

I have Michelins, I think they are AT/LTX's or something like that, all season and rated for E class loads. They have been on 65K miles and look like new. I'll check and give you the exact type tomorrow.

We use the Michelins at work on the E350s on my 03 250 I went with the BFG ATs increased from 285 to 305 in size. Have 20,000 on the BFGs at this point. Tire wear is good and traction in mud this last deer seasion was very good. The Michelins are good so are the BFG. In the end the price chose the BFG for me. Good luck

i tend to shy away from the BFG A/ts. I ran those for about 4months. They were great looking and wore great but i ended up going back to a set of Coopers. The Coopers(Discoverer LTs) have all round better performance (ride better, better rain snow and ice traction and alot better at clearing out mud). Only thing im not too shure about is what load ratings they come in. I only haul around 3,000lbs so D rating is fine for me. But i would realy look into these guys, they are better tire and they can be had vary cheap (same thing as a Dean Wild Cat All Season).

After a thirty year loyalty to Goodyear, Last fall I switched to Michelin AT/LTX. Can't say enough about how well they perform.

I have had excellent results with Regul tires as to longetivity. I do have some Discoverer LT's load range E on a E350 van that are performing very well. However, I do know a lot of contractors are using the Michelins and say they are getting about 60K in them. That's great for construction vans.
