75 4X4 tips needed
Hey Yall, i just picked up a 75 4X4 XLT 360 2 bbl i got a couple or questions 1 i was going to convert it to a 390 but after reading some other posts i decided to keep it as a 360 but how difficult is it to put in lock outs on the front hubs or is it best to leave it as is? 2 i need some paint ideas right now its a nasty baby**** yellow and i hate it but the body is in great shape and i can save most of it but do need a few replacement parts
any help would be great

The hubs are a straight swap. Assuming it's a 203 T-case, you might want to convert it to part-time as well. This thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/61_79/6988.html has some info on that.

Having plenty of experience with J.C. Whitney, I'd suggest another company but everyone has their opinions. I converted my NP203 with the Summit Racing "Mile Marker Part # 95-22203 - Shaft Kit". It came with hubs and everything. I let my neighbor do the installation but he said it took every bit of two hours. I've put it to alot of tests and am very proud of the results. They have two totally different kits but this one is far better than the other if you need to do any towing. The technician at Summit can fill you in on the details. Set me back $244.00 but well worth it. And don't let anyone tell you that a NP205 is any more superior. Just ask your local 4x4 shop about the solid steel encasement on the NP203.
