Where does the lead from the ilde stop solenoid hook into? Is it at the distributor or is it simply to another wire in one of the grouped together wires?
Thanks!
I've found a socket for the solenoid lead, it is at the rear of the motor near the firewall. The lead from the solenoid is only 1 female socket, whereas the one at the rear of the motor has male and female, but it still fits in.
Is this the right one? When it is connected, there is a clicking noise coming from the engine bay, is this my solenoid moving? Is this the right place to connect my solenoid lead?
Each lead on the plug should be(+). One is designed to go to the solenoid, the other goes to the electric choke (if so equipped). Easiest way to check which one is which...one should go live when you turn the iginition switch on. The other should be live with the engine on and it only will have 6V(electric choke) rather than 12V to the solenoid.
