Been thinking about this for some time, I want to finally take the plunge and get an OBD2 setup.
I have a good laptop, so I'd prefer a PC interface to a standalone unit.
Are these computer interfaces always tied to a particular software package? Or can you "mix and match" OBD2 interfaces and different computer software? Do you buy this stuff together or separately?
Looking for recommendations and your personal experiences. I'd like to use this on several vehicles - my 99 F150, as well as my Honda Odyssey and Honda Accord. All are equipped with OBD2.
