Can someone help me identify my Transfer case.
It has NP stamped on it so I know its a New Process, and it has the model number C-15392-PP stamped along the bottom front of the case.
Is this for your '87 F250? I thought those had BW1356's?
no in the 80's they used the BW1345's and NP208 alum cases. i am not sure the provisions but both were used until 1987 when they started utilizing the BW1356
It is in an 87 F250 and is an aluminum case. I don't know I assume it is part time, but the is a problem with the engagement, because when I pull the lever, it is free with no resistance. Also, I don't think it is a 208 because it looks much different than the 208 in my 81 chevy 1/2 ton.
Thanks john, from what I saw looking under the truck, it does resemble the un synchronized 208. I'll know more when I get it dropped and can compare the pics better.
