Rebuild
I picked up another 1970 Ford F100 with another straight six in it. Can somoene on this forum walk me through how to rebuild the engine in it? I put a whole quart of oil in it and it is not even registering on the stick and I took the valve cover off and that thing is so full of dried oil it aint even funny and pulling one of the head bolts, that thing smelled so burnt up that it wasnt funny, so if anyone could walk me thorugh how to rebuild a straight six from the ground up, I would be eternally grateful, Thanks in advance.

The six cylinder forum would probably be the best place to ask. The 300-6 and 240-6 are some of the easiest engines to rebuild, and you can do a lot to get more power out of them too.
