selector shaft leak
My 1966 F100 has the Cruise-o-Matic transmission. It has a leak around the gear shift shaft on the side of the case. I think I have to remove the pan to remove the shaft and replace the seal. Can anyone tell me how the shaft is retained and how difficult it is to remove? Thanks!

Remove the pan and valve body.
The throttle lever is held with a 1/2 " nut.
The manual lever is held by 1 15/16" nut inside the transmission.
There is a detent ball and spring that will leap out at you so be prepared.

Thanks! Is this from a factory service manual? If so, can you tell me where to get one? I wstarted to order one the other day for $50, but I wasn't sure it would have the transmission info. Thanks again.
