I bought a 1972 F-350 with 52000 miles. 360 4speed 2wd dana 60 rear. It was kept in a barn and only driven occasionally to haul cattle. It has a wooden bed that is trash. The cab is in pretty good shape. The dash is cracked beyond repair.
My plan is to put a new pressure treated bed on and use it for about a year while I build my new shop. The carb leaks. I happen to have a brand new 750 edlbrock and a Weiand intake. I know it is probably to much, but thats what I have. How will that work? I will put headers on at some point. I also have a 1972 F 250 4WD. The title says 1970 but it looks like a 1972 to me. I will check the VIN on the frame to be sure. Dana 44 in front, Dana 60 in rear. Someone put a 351 in it. Unknown if 351W or 351M. Doesn't really matter since it has water in the oil. My original plan with the 250 was to pull the bed and cab off and start restoring the running gear. Then to make the 2 trucks into one later. Suggestions?

When you say make the two into one, are you going for the four wheel drive. If so, just drop the 360 in the other one. Get it running, then after you work out the details, you can do a restore.
Chances are the reason it looks like a 72 is somewhere in it's past, they changed the front clip with a 72. Very common practice.
if you are going to use the f350 cab on the f250 4wd frame, you'll need to check your back cab mounts( as in were they bolt in the frame). my 70' f350's cab mounts bolt to perches on the outside of the frame, and my 4wd 72 mounts to a cross member between the frame rails. i ran into this problem when i was going to change one of my f350 cabs with one from a rust free f100.
