Ignition Box and Wiring
I recently redid my 6 banger with the 4 barrel setup and headers and etc. anyways my truck was an 86 and had the electronic dist but a carb, so I found an old vac advance dist. but am having a hell of a time getting the right ignition box that would wire in right, right now I'm on my 3rd try, somebody said I needed the one w/ a blue gromut on the bottom, so once that comes in I hope that's it b/c I've been messing with this for days now. The dist. actually came off a 79 and has a 3 prong female plug and I'm using the 86 coil, so any help here would be great, thanks

www.gofastforless.com and look for information on "Better Ignition" It will tell you how to wire up a GM ignition module! I works great but you need to bypass the resistor wire and use a hotter coil!
