Mating Transfer Case
I have a C6 from a 76 Lincoln Continental and a np205 from a 78 Bronco. The t-case is the mated type. I have an adapter, its about 9 inches long. The tail piece I took off is about 19 inches long. I think this means I need to swap tailshafts?
What should I pull one out of to swap in?

you will need a 4x4 tailshaft. It involves taking the transmission completly apart and swapping the the tailshafts. you might as well buy a rebuild kit while your at it.
the tailshaft/trans you need is C6 in a 73-86 4x4 (maybe a year or 2 earlier/later, but defianatly those years)
