I wrecked my stock turbo back in November. I replaced it with an HTPS from High Tech Turbo. I'm almost positive that in the last week or so I can hear the blades rubbing against the housing, especially when accelerating from idle and coming to a stop.
If I get to replace it I would like to consider a different turbo as I haven't been very happy with this one. I'm really more interested in pulling a trailer in the 2000-2500 RPM range. I was considering a Van Turbo, just wanted to see if anyone had experience pulling with this turbo. Would the Van Turbo be good, or something else? Is the stock turbo designed for more mid-range power (say 2k-2500rpm) or would the van turbo be ok. I'm thinking that 300-325 hp would be all that I am interested in, if that is even feasable between 2000-2500rpm.
When you say bolt on, Do you mean that there is no replacement of the up-pipes or intercooler plumbing? Does anyone know what he is charging for this turbo?
