Hi Orange...I have a 79 Bronco...and...this is a guess...but I think the pickup and the Bronco should be the same on the rear end...On my Bronco there is a block on each side that is around 1.5 to 2 inches...I have read that the block has something to do with the spring angle(I could be wrong on that)
When I first got the truck...the previous owner told me that it had a 2 inch lift...I don't believe thats true for mine...I think he assumed that the blocks were part of a lift...
I have a question to add...Does anyone know of a place that lists the stock heights of different year Ford trucks??
It has blocks in the rear that have an extension on the side for the axle bumper on the frame to hit when it bottomes out. The blocks are 3 inches tall and it has plenty of room for the 33 inch tires on it. The truck sits level unlike other fords that have a raked look (front end lower). How do I tell if the front has a lift do the radius arm brackets have to be bigger than stock if so how much. and how tall are the stock coils mine are 14 inches and my radius arm brackets are 4 inches from the bottom of the frame to the center of the arm. I have noticed many lifts for fords have for example a 4 inch front lift and a 3 or 3 1/2 inch in back. It also has dual shocks on each side in front and coil over shocks in the back.
The way you lift your truck in the front is by putting bigger coil springs in it so the only way to figure it out really is to find the stock spring height and mesure them with no load on the springs.
