battery Isolator mounting location

For those running battery isolators, Where are you mounting the isolator at? I recently bought a Sure Power 16023 isolator and am trying to decide where to mount the thing at.

See if you can find a spot on the radiator support.

I am thinking of putting it on the left side of the alternator, my alternator is on the right side of the motor. My thinking is air from the fan will pass underneath it to help keep it cool.

Can't quite visualize the space you mention, but consider on the front of the radiator support behind the grill.

Thanks for the suggestions, I have a 7.3L and there isn't much room under the hood at all. I didn't even have much in front of the radiator either unless I went all the way in front then I would of had to extend existing stock wiring for charging the vehicle batteries. I ended up putting it where my old air box would have been. Was able to roll the existing alt cable for charging right to it with minimal strain. I put a 4" fan in front of it as well, right now it probably doesn't matter much but when I really start using the isolator function for charging the trailer batteries, sitting still I won't have to worry about it getting too hot. Plus the isolator is rated at 160Amps, My alternator only puts out 110 max, don't think I will have any problems with it.

I also mounted my battery isolator on the passenger side fender sheet metal under the hood. Mine has been operating flawlessly now for 8 years. I personally think that the closer you can mount the isolator to the primary battery, the better.
