DP Tuner!!!!

Well the big brown truck came today and "Holy Snikies Batman" what a huge difference the PMT1 80hp made this thing is awsome shifts and pulls like an animal. And I couldnt really get on it hard cause the roads are kinda crappy today. I used to have a PMT2 stock with the Dr. Performance 80ho module all I can say about that is its goin in the garbage can unless I can stack it, I'll have to give Jody a call back to find out. Unless someone here knows.

It will stack...but it won't make much difference. Personally, I wouldn't bother with it.

I wonder if you stacked it with the Edge attitude just for the digital gauges, and set the attitude on stock. Wonder if that would be okay? It would save buying a set of pillar gauges....

With the edge you have to use the power module to make the guages work. We sell the Bullydog outlook cheap and it works with or without a power module and works with any brand of power devise we have put it with so far. So to buy the juice with attitude would be a waste of alot of money. By the way we sell those tuners and really havent had any response to them. How do you like it? How are your EGT's and how long does it take to load? Thx in advance.

My edge was on the truck when I got it. As far as am I happy with it, well yes and no. Its nice for the gauges. I love the defuel thing too. As far as egts, yes they get high if you pull very hard, even with it set on the tow setting. The tranny shifts like stock, which is terrible. Im pulling 25+ lbs of boost on anything over setting 3, so its working. It makes my truck smoke like crazy at the 5 setting, which can be a good or bad thing. Overall, I'd say its a 6 out of 10. Ive only heard good things about the dp chip, and can see that in my future.

My EGT's are quite low under load. I can keep it under 1100 without much effort. I also have a 4" DP with straight exhaust. Having the Evolution helps with the shifting issues. Before I had that, I was burning up fluid regularly. After, no problems since. For someone who does not plan to make a top fueler out of his work truck, the Edge Juice w/ Attitude and Evolution work great.

High EGT's, smoke...are you running stock intake and exhaust on that truck? Sounds like you may be restricting a bit and getting the negative effects of more fuel without the air to burn it and cool it properly? Im just pulling a guess out of the air......but are you set up with an intake and exhaust?

yeppers, afe stage 2 and a 4 inch straight from the turbo back. Smokes a little less now with the AFE than before, but im not sold on this edge yet. Pulling my trailer, easily it would go above 1300 if I let it. Ive got my max egt set at 1250, so it starts to defuel at 1200, and will defuel up to 75 percent. Thats just with it on the tow setting.
