need more info whats your ride 4x4 or 2x do u go off road a lot do u tow a lot why do u think u need new gears? do u plan on drag racing it ? the lower the gear the higher the rpm hiway mpg will go down
well, i always thought it would be a smart mod to increase/decrease gear size. i have a x2, i dont go off-roading basically at all, and i want to increase my acceleration and power. I was looking in the line of 0-60 times and 1/4 mile time. i wouldnt say that i do drag, but i do race occassionally against street trucks. But i mean if it isnt the the right modification for my certain needs, than its alright. if you have any other advice on what i should get or what other modification you would suggest, then reply back.
Go with 4.56 gear's and you will also need the following
Tunner ,Edge, Diablo predator (you can get a dyno tune with this best tune you can get) Intake AF1, Airaid ,Volant, Exhaust dont get flowmaster you will lose some horsepower and gain some drone. Header's are not worth the $$ unless you can do the install your self.underdrive pullys and E=fans not worth it
