did ford ever make a 454 to put in there trucks

Short answer, No. The 454 is a GM engine. I think in the mid 70's Ford put 460's in some trucks.

I believe ford used 460 up through the 80's and maybe into the 90's also

The only way Ford engine can be a 454 is a 427 block with a 428 crankshaft. Not too often is one to be seen. I have a 390 with a 428 crankshaft making it a 410.
