Ignition Problem

Ok I Guess I Am Right Room Now. I Had A Question About A Push Button Switch And How To Take It Out To Use Key Switch. I Am New And Was Told To Come Here. Any Help? Thanks Guys

This is the only thing you need to know ?

A I assume the ignition switch has gone bad.

This can be replaced with little trouble.

Questions about the truck

Q: What year is it ?
Q: Auto trans or manual ?
Q: Is there a FORD starter solenoid on the truck ?
Q: Does it have all the Ford ignition equipment as opposed to after market ignition parts? (DurasparkII)

Ignition

New Key Switch, New Key Cylinder, New Ignition Module, New Solenoid. Funny Thing, The Truck Will Start In Any Gear. I Bought The Truck From My Neighbor. I Am The 3rd Owner. It Has 114,000 Miles, Auto Transmission, 351 M. The Last Owner Installed A Push Button Switch To Start It.

Okay,I checked your profile to find out you are talking about a 78.

There should be a NSS on the side of the transmission with some wires running up to the center if the firewall with a grey or brown connector.
It looks like this

i will look tonight when i get off work. thanks for the help. how do i know if this is the problem? is there a way to check it? also how do i rpleace it, alot of hard work or is it easy.
