48 panel running board removal?

I am trying to remove the running boards off of the 48 panel and have hit a snag. All the bolts are removed and it is loose but I can't slip it forward enough to come out from under the rear body of the panel before it hits the support under the board. I am assuming I am going to have to grind the rivets off of the rear support and remove it then slide it out, am I correct or is there a trick to this?

I think I had to remove the body to get my boards off, it's been a while since I did it and don't exactly remember anymore. I know that's not what you want to hear but it's a Ford, nothing is easy on them.

Remove the front body mount, raise the body a tad. That should help.

Thanks for the info, I figured there would be no easy way of doing it! Guess I willl just grind the rivets off and punch em out then just bolt the brackets to the frame when I put it all back together.
