1986 F150 Ignition wire
I am in the process of installing a remote starter into my truck. I am having trouble finding the ignition wire(s). I have tested every wire coming out of the steering column but none of them seem to be ignition. According to my instructions the test light needs to stay on when I am cranking the engine over and all the wires I have found the light goes out.
Am I looking in the right place for the ignition wires? Please help, also what color am I looking for?

An ignition wire goes to the starter relay when you turn the switch to start. Another ignition wire goes to the battery terminal on the coil providing full current at start and reduced current (1.1 ohm resistor) in run position.

Starter relay is located on the passsenger side fender well near the battery. I don't have an 86 wiring diagram, but in 1980, the ignition wire to the starter relay is R/LB and the ignition to coil is BR/PK.
