From what I have read, some were not happy with the quality of the cab mounts they got from some of the national type chains. Can someone recommend a good supllier for these? 70 F100
look at dennis-carpenter.com. I don't know if he has them but he has everything else. Also lmctruck.com and jcwhitney has some but they're not factory. They are bolt in however if you're not a welder.
Within the last year I bought some from dennis-carpenter, very good quality but not cheep in price. They need to be welded in. The best way to remove the original is drill all the spot welds out.
I too am in need of cabmounts. I have not been sure who to go with as I have seen some that look pretty poor. I think I may try the ones Broncograveyard.com as they look different in the pictures than the others.
I went with the cheap ones a few years ago as a bandaid, I am now on the tail end of a frame off and had to replace the cheap ones because they started to crack. I went with dennis-carpenter mounts, they are very good quality compared to the others if you ask me.
I just replaced my passenger side with the mounts from BroncoGraveyard. They quality was great and they fit even better. You do need to cut out the old one and weld these in, however if you truck it going to see alot of weather I feel this is the only way to go. They paint them from their factory, but I think its only for shipping as its a weak coat that scratches easy. I sanded them, then installed, then painted on the truck. Looks like factory and now my cab sits level too.
Motorhaven has them, they are decent quality, I have one that I got for my 69 (never got around to installing it though), they are better than the JCWhitney ones a friend of mine put on his truck, though.
