Looking to buy a code reader for my PSD. Can anyone tell me if the ACTRON #145 is the right one for the 7.3 PSD ($200.00) Or can recommond a different brand. Thanks
i would recommend the auto enginuity. you can order it with the powerstroke software and you can test everything on your engine. you hook it to your laptop and it preforms hundreds of tests on you sensors, injectors, glowplugs, etc. you can monitor everything with graphs and guages on your laptop while you are driving. it will shut down the individual injectors and test them to make sure each one is putting the same amount of fuel into the cylinders and you can test each glow plug individually it will be a little more expensive but it is worth it i definately reccomend it

i just got my obd2.com software(ease)..still trying to figure it out on my dads truck(currently 3000 miles from my psd) once i do man this thing will do it all. well worth the 350 i spent. code readers are hit or miss. some work some dont on our trucks.
A code reader for the PSd need to have the enhanced Ford codes for some reason. I have an Actron 9135 and AutoXray 2000 and both will not read codes. Autoenginuity is the way to go.
