Poor acceleration
I have a 95 F-150 xlt 4x4 W/302 Auto. I have been reading about the psom and have changed out the sensor in the rear end. My spedo is still jumping and the truck seems not to downshift when I stomp on it. Can this psom cause me grief in the downshifting and engine performance?

the psom IS the speedo. the VSS is the sensor in the rearend.
if you replaced that, cleaned the connector, and verfied the wiring; and the speedo is stull jumping then its time to replace the PSOM. Be sure to haveit programmed for your mileage (and tire size if not stock tires)

Thanks for the reply Tim, I got a psom from a friend with a body shop. The millage will be off a bit, but I am not concerned with that. Can a bad psom keep the transmission from downshifting when I step on it or am I looking for something else?
