391 fuel pump--1 in tank 2?
I'm from Santa Rosa, CA and am moving to the high desert soon. Got my first load loaded, but the truck won't start. I am hoping I will really be accepted here, because I don't have a pick up, but a 1972 Ford C-750 (cabover). But it does have a 391 engine and this forum seems to offer more info for a 391 than any other place I've seen so far. If anyone knows of a better web site for info on my truck, PLEASE let me know. - - I can't get gas to the carb, lines are clear and a new fuel pump - - Is there another pump in the tank?
If this request is entered in the wrong place, feel free to have it move to the correct place, but please let me know where it is moved to. It's going to take me a little while to figure out all of what is available here.
Many Thanx, now and for any info forth coming.

There should just be one pump on the engine, unless somebody put one in along the line. Either way, the engine pump should be able to draw through that, and get some fuel. If you have access to an air source, try turning the pressure down to about 20psi, and blow through the line backwards, from the pump to the tank. Take the filler cap off so you don't blow up the tank.

Thanks Ford_Six, but have already done that. Have checked the lines for hole/cracks -nothing.
Have taken off and replaced the pump a couple time to assure placement and seating were ok, and they are. Had figured the diaphram was shot in the old pump. Truck started fine a few months ago. Has been setting for maybe three months, and now doesn't.

does it have dual gas tanks? if so locate the selector valve it will have 3 hoses running into it. pull the valve and inspect and clean it. it is also possible the needle is sticking in the carb and the fuel pump can't flow. try taking the line off the carb and placing it in a 20oz soda bottle and rank the engine for about 20 seconds.

I fill the filter cannister beneath the pump with gas. I'm not the greatest at this stuff, so just how do you prime the carb. Use lots of carb starter fluid stuff while cranking, did get one burst of what I thought was going to be success, but wasn't. Is is possible that the draw tube/pipe in the tank has a hole on it or something?
