New here "Hello" and carpet question
Hello all, I'm new to this list although I have been lurking around for a few days. My name is Kevin and I live in Loveland ,Co. I own a 1969 Ranger shortbed 2wd with a 360 and 4spd. I have owned the truck for 22 years and really thought there wasn't almost anything I didn't know about it but....
I recently got some new carpet and now I'm not sure about the shift boot. The boot is presently on top of the carpet but I think I did that years ago cause the old carpet was so ripped up around there. I though I remember the boot being under the carpet originally. Also there is that thick padding in that area so if the boot was to go on top I'm not sure how to get through all that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

I WOULD IMAGINE THAT YOU HAVE A RUBBER BOOT,, AND YOU ARE MISSING THE TRIM RING,,,
THE RUBBER BOOT SHOULD GO UNDER THE CARPET,, AND THERE SHOULD BE A TRIM RING THAT GOES ON TOP OF THE CARPET,, AT LEAST THIS IS THE WAY IT IS ON MY 86... HOPE THIS HELPS... [/font]
