I really need some ideas from some Ford enthusists. I have an 86 Bronco II and if I accelerate over 55 mph the engine shuts off. I've taken it to several mechanics and left them stumpted. Please, does anyone have any ideas to my problem?
it sounds like the overdrive it killing the motor. i think its an ecu problem being that theres no other way id see going over 55 would control engine running
Not yet, but I'll try it, how do you do it? I have very little knowledge of Bronco II's. Thank you very much for your help, I'm in desperate need of it.
My BII has done this a couple times. Once the ignition module was going out, the second time it was a combination if the fuel injectors and the air charge temperature sensor.
